Wallpaper SVG Guide

  1. Find or make a simple repeating SVG tile. Sources like The Noun Project are fine if the license allows your use.
  2. Download the SVG file, then upload it in Theme Studio. You do not need to open it in TextEdit unless you want to edit the markup by hand.
  3. Theme Studio inlines the SVG text and checks for unsafe parts like scripts, remote images, event handlers, and foreignObject.
  4. Use __INK__ for strokes/fills that should follow the theme text colour, and __PAPER__ for paper-coloured shapes.
  5. Keep tiles small and quiet. Wallpapers should sit behind notes, not compete with the writing.
